With APC connectors used by most cable companies, other FTTX providers in outdoor equipment applications, and passive optical applications (both GPONs and passive optical LANs). Forwardly, passive optical networks and other WDM applications that use higher wavelengths over singlemode fiber are likely to require reduced backflow loss of APC connectors as well.
These connectors are usually in green color. However, you cannot connect them directly to most non-FTTx devices, such as fiber media converter, router with fiber connectors, switches, SFP modules and so on. All of these devices require SC UPC (blue) connectors.
Here, ADnet’s SC to UPC adapters are really convenient – it’s a simple, fast plug and play solution – simply plug the SC UPC connector into the UPC equipment, i.e. a fiber media converter, router or switch and plug the SC APC patch cable into a socket of adapterS
These are 0 dB loss devices, so no additional returns or direct losses are introduced to the entire fiber link.
All these important features are supported:
- Type: Doped Fiber
- Wavelength (nm): 1310nm or 1550nm, only one single mode type
- Attenuation (dB): 0.
- Connector Type: SC APC Female / SC UPC Male
- Attenuation accuracy (dB): +/-0.5dB
- Return loss (dB): PC>45, UPC>55, APC>65
- Environment: relative humidity; 5% to 90%
- Working Temperature: -40 to +70°C
- Dimensions: see dimensions in the picture gallery.
